Press TV: US Revealed as The Enemy of the World

This has left me speechless this morning..Or mayhaps that is so because its O’dark thirty & I’m not yet totally awake..Either way I’m going to re-blog it & share it with y’all to see what the general consensus is on this post..Sound off & let me know what your opinions are. When time permits later on I’ll do the same. *4ever sincere, Berna (the 1 & only..)

  1. I appreciate you reblogging this because I think if more Americans were more aware of what is done in our name, we would be able to change it.

I think most people are goodhearted. They don’t want our country to be the colonizing monster empire with our friends and family members in the military being used as disposable tools to protect corporate profits at the cost of innocent lives.
I am grateful that we have President Obama in office now because he is smart enough to play chess with the 1% who have had far too much control over America for far too long. He can’t win it without an informed and active (read-loud!) electorate.
He forced Congress to do their job on Syria. If we the people make our wishes known to our Congress members then we either won’t be starting a new war, or the midterm elections will be a smackdown;-).
If Americans knew what the rest of the world knows about us that causes their negative opinions of us, most would be shocked and horrified.
Unfortunately those who try to share such info are routinely villified, mocked, hounded or on some occasions with whistleblowers and reporters-actually murdered to stop such truth from being shared widely.
An old bumper sticker I used to see said “should I trust the American govt? Ask an Indian!”.
Many of the things we most love and treasure about America from the land itself to the ideals enshrined in our Constitution and common ideas of freedom etc were Native American values that were (wisely;-) adopted by the colonists. Our nations had more freedom and true equality for all 500 years ago than the US has NOW. (We just got our first nonwhite President; no woman yet but many Native Nations had women in positions of power traditionally for instance. )
Apologies for this comment being all over the map-I’m too sleepy to make sense but didn’t realize til just now:-/

    1. You my dear are making a TON of sense! Sleepy or not..I couldn’t agree more with you on ALL counts; which is why I re-blogged it. (and thankful for your re-blog of it or I might not have had the chance to read it) Because I’ve traveled abroad before & read news sources all over the world; I’ve read what some in other countries think about US as Americans..Nevertheless, I’ve had the wonderful personal opportunity to see many, many Americans becoming more aware & working on the ground level to make our country as GREAT as its potential..A country is after all far more than just its leaders; or so its my belief. Any place is what the people ARE; that are the make-up of that place. It is far beyond time for Americans to STOP being so easily distracted by crap on the boob tube(oh yes I recall the days when there weren’t but a couple T.V. stations! BUT there was far more quality shows on it backintheday…) It is far beyond time for Americans to wake the heck UP & get their heads out of the sand…Our vote is our VOICE; I once used that as my very own campaign slogan. I meant it then & I mean it now..We , nor the generations behind us, can afford to free-fall any further into the deepest depths of nothingness & immorality..Shameful I tell you! I’m more than sure our own ancestors are cringing at some of the things WE take for granted these days..Often times standing UP or standing for something is the most difficult thing to DO..But IF we link hands from coast to coast in one accord? I think, naw I know…WE can move FORWARD. I do so appreciate you & I’m so very glad to have linked up with you on WordPress…Hugs!

    1. @Megaworthit..I’m seriously thinking you must have read the person’s comments whose blog page I re-blogged from as my comments..Those are NOT my comments & the initials are BP..My comments are in the comment section & also attached to my re-blog of this piece & signed as Berna. I’m an American through & through..Born & raised right here in America(as are generation upon generation upon generation & etc etc of my lineage..) ..This is MY country and it is a country I love for a multitude of reasons..I still believe that my country is the BEST on the planet..Hands down..We’re got freedom here that other countries can only dream of; yet I’m also cognizant of the fact we’ve a long way to go. I’m also quite aware that many other countries have an opinion of us as Americans, that isn’t always favorable..One only has to READ news articles/opinions from other countries(including our allies..) to figure that out. I think we currently have the BEST POTUS our country has seen in years & years …And the progress President Obama & his administration have made has made a major leap forward! Steps forward that hadn’t been made , yet needed, for years & years..I re-blogged this piece because it is CLEAR we often , as a country, take on problems of the world; and yet our own house needs much tending to. Much! There are children starving right here in our own backyard..There ARE tons of people homeless scattered all over the United States..There ARE senior citizens who have worked ALL their lives who have to choose between medicine they need or food to eat OR health benefits! And obviously, as evidenced, by this piece I re-blogged folks from other countries feel we need to stick our nose out of other countries business sometimes..Especially when it does NOT pose a threat to our country..In light of the heavy decisions being made right now regarding whether we will or won’t get involved in Syria’s matters; I felt this was a very good piece to re-blog. So in conclusion? I am NOT leaping up for joy/doing cartwheels/or doing a victory dance about what was written in this piece I re-blogged..But one can’t continue to keep a blind eye to matters either. The opinions in the piece exist whether I re-blog them or not…And quite honestly I saw this piece only because a fellow fave blogger re-blogged it. Who IS also American…Honestly? I don’t find it an issue to read all sides of any given situation/issue. Personally I think that helps to make one more aware…
